I will recap to what has been going on the past few days.
I’ve been busy with work so not been online much, so this will be a short update no doubt.
To finish my previous blog, ICOLL has been wardec’d by 2 other corps. Nasty guys from the looks of it, rustles and i check them out on battle clinic and we were like “wow”. We quickly agree that ICOLL will be destroyed with this, since they struggled with our corp. of mostly 3 – 4 members. These guys have more members and have a much more impressive kill board.
On my last post I said that while the war was officially over I would like to continue the war for the remainder of the week for fun and games, but when I heard the 2 other corps I immediately retracted the war out of pity - ICOLL have enough to worry about without looking out for us too.
Over the next day or two we watch ICOLL swindle in numbers. All their active members seem to be moving on to other corps or just leaving to n00b corps. We actually got a recruit from this, although with my inactivity as of late it may not be the best impression i made. Will not likely have any real time on eve until next week. Noooooo!!!
Plan of action is to scout lowsec for a place to call home. Considering somewhere near the Isoma constellation.

The closing days...
War 1 - Day 15
Good news for ICOLL; War is unofficially over. The renewal fee has been automatically been paid for a 3rd weeks though so will talk to their leaders tonight to see if they want it retracted or a few days more of friendly PvP.
Updates will be added later.

War 1 – Day 14
2 weeks we have had war with another corp. For me it’s been the best 2 weeks of the game so far.
Me and Andy played cat and mouse a lot today. His drake tries to close the gap on my rupture - No chance. Liam undocks in a executor, MWDing towards me. I think he caps out a few times trying to close the gap. But he gets here. I set drones on him when he’s in range but it warps out when Andy gets in range. I warp to another bookmark making the distance between us 200km.
We had a friendly 1 v 1 with Andy that night. Had a few spectators too, Jon was there, Liam, and a neutral I never paid attention too. Andy’s choice of ship was a caracal, so I switched to EMP weapons. His shields weren’t too bad, took me a little while to get past its peak recharge. One his shields were collapsing though, it dropped easily. I smile when I look at my armour, 97%. :)
Later that evening warp jumper logged on. Was tempted for a 2 v 2 with them, the Brutix I’m sure we could handle, probably take it out before it and the drake take us out. Overall though I’m sure we would lose both our ships of we can’t clear disruptor/scram distance.
2 more hostiles log in. they undock, we got 2 battlecruisers, a frigate, and a blackbird. They appear to be setting themselves up to warp to us when the frigate gets in range, so we try and jump the blackbird. We warp towards them, and are about 20km away. I tell Jon to set drones on him now while he still can, and away they go. 10km out and his shields are more or less gone, and he warps out. I was too far away to scram him still. :(
We warp back to our 200km safe spots and watch them from safety while our shields recharge. They try the same frigate tactic and we move away when we are threatened, looking for a hole we could pounce on.
The blackbird and the frigate pilot log off, and we’ve back to a 2 v 2. Typhoon boy logs on though, but is near Jita. We hang around system waiting for him to get near. He’s in his tech 2 rupture, so we are overall quite manoeuvrable.
Andy and warp jumper dock up and we move to the station. Dawood is a few jumps out now so we go to poke the bear. We are at the station at 0km now. Asking if they want to come out. No joy. This goes on for a little while and Dawood arrives 1 jump from system. I tell him to hold there, they aren’t going to undock of they see him in local, in case he’s got his “typhoon of unholy death”.
We discover that our war targets have gotten sneaky, by either paying neutrals, or by using alts to spy on us. We have noticed king Stevie afk outside stations that we are at when we are at them. We confirmed him as a spy alt when they Andy and warp jumper said Dawood is 1 jump out in his T2 cruiser. Cats out of the bag now, they aren’t going to come out at all me thinks, so Dawood goes shopping while we continue to entice them to come out and play, can still get the Brutix me thinks.
In the end we camped them in station. It is at this time one of my Jon reminds me on an earlier quote from one of my previous blogs:

Ugh, a crossroad... which way do i go?
War 1 – Day 13
Our target has been smashed. The goal of 500m in damages has well and truly been achieved, a lot quicker than expected too.
Deaths: 10
ISK Lost: 54,549,897
Kills: 17
ISK Destroyed: 532,808,166
So as far as we are concerned we are done. We can officially retract the war when the contractor gets in touch.
There are a few things that could happen now. We are either offered more money, the contract is closed, or we are offered a new target. Not sure what way the pendulum will swing on this one, as we estimated it would last about 5 weeks, this is currently only going nearly 2. most notably to the addition of Dawood to our ranks which helped deal with a few expensive ships.
We will be refusing a new target regardless. Merc work is a bit boring with all the limitations and such. So last night when we hit the quota we were discussing what to move on too after the war, maybe setting our sights on low-sec to see what that is like. Best way to learn PvP would be to get into a PvP environment, which is null-sec or low-sec.
Loved this war however, as it’s helped us learn how to handle our ships, kit them up, manoeuvring and such. We also been trying a bit of organised fleet stuff as well, working well so far, by keeping our ranks tight. Of course it didn’t start well, people were listening to the wrong instructions and such. Teamwork is key for survival! :D
So yeah, we are now over our quota, will still engage the targets at my leisure however until the war is retracted. It was a drake, gf JaFyx. Not too badly set up, but thanks to the firepower from Dawood’s typhoon we were able to break its shields quickly. Ugly ship, don’t like it, and I’ve been shunned by rustles and Dawood for favoring the tempest over it on team speak, but I admit that it sure packs a punch.
The amount of conversations I had to deal with yesterday after this kill was ridiculous. Had the public channel from icoll, local, and 2 private convos! And team speak on top of this to boot! Was like i was drunk in most convos; “huh?” “Eh?” “What you saying?” “Um... no?”
So, business as usual for the moment. Hope to hear back later tonight as to what we can do.

I probably missed some things that happened, was wrecked when it all happened and is all just a memory now as i thought sleep would help :D

Silly Mistakes
Recap from the days before. Not much I could have done in eve, busy few days with work, mostly logging on during breaks.
So yes my adoring fans, I will finally update my blog.
We did have a few encounters worth a mention, will start with the oldest.
Day 10:
Rustles, being the social guy he is, abandoned us this day for a drunken day. W00t. With rustles being unavailable I didn’t expect much to happen much since i won’t usually go it alone. Today was fairly inactive from what I was on, changing skills and such during my breaks in work. When i return from work i hear Dawood is online, so I log in and see what he’s up too.
He’s harassing battleships in a wolf shock horror! I call him crazy and try to save him before he’s dead. I’m 2 jumps out and race towards Ghesis in my slow assed rupture. He said he’s moved into scram the battle cruiser, which he said is a Myrmidon, crazy fool. Frigates vs. that is a no-no!
I’m about to enter system when he tells me to hurry, “yeah yeah, I’m jumping in now”. I warp to Dawood expecting to see a wolf in flames, but no, he’s still got his armour, go him. I lick the myrmidon and scram, drone, web and gun him as much as we can.
The wolf can’t hold up to this abuse much longer and goes pop, leaving me vs. the myrmidon and a newly emerged drake. Was only a matter of time before they came out I suppose. I kiss my Rupture good-bye and repeat the cycles on the myrmidon, hoping for a miracle. Nothing unexpected happened; I went pop with a few percent left on the myrmidons armour. I is a sads :(
We went to get more ships, i went scout this time and headed back. we arrived at their own system now, and i jump through, i am chased out by a drake. We wait by the gate to see who pops through. Mental as the tackle pops his head in. we get bored so before logging for the night i rushed mental hoping to get a kill before his corps jump through. No such luck. He burns away from me faster than i can catch him, which is followed by a scam and web by the battleship fleet which just landed on top of me. 3 losses today, oh noes! i say to Dawood to cut our loses and he falls back, picking your battles is a good skill to learn.
The losses today was all made better through with the news that Dawood took out a hostile battleship earlier. And so the world balances itself out again.would gladly lose an assault frigate, cruiser and destroyer is we killed a battleship everyday. this put us 30m of the 500m target. Didn't think it would be so quick.
Day 11:
Again work kept me away longer than I would have liked. Why can’t I pay my bills with ISK?!
So, I log on and rustles and Dawood are already roaming about somewhere. We form up and try locating the war targets. We go back and forth a few systems before we finally find one, warp jump. We guess he’s on this way to regroup with mental, as he’s coming from Ghesis towards citadel.
We set a course towards his system using the autopilot. This is where mistake number 1 happened. Our autopilot hiccupped and took us around the system he was coming from, so we had to 180 back on ourselves trying to catch him.
We catch up at Niraja or something. He tried to throw us off abit, and it worked to an extent, we didn’t know where he was going, but we knew it wasn’t to a gate. we have eyes on all gates now and see where hes heading. Back to ghesis we assume. We scramble back there as fast as we can. When we arrive no one was in system. Well, no reds.
We head back towards citadel and we meet mentals fleet he’s coming to meet us with. A few battle cruisers and a tackle ship. We wait patiently on the other side of the gate, rustles keeping point in next system. Rustles shouts they are coming and jumps through, and crashes. Yay.
The fleet jumps through and a teos creed breaks gate cloak. We lock and shoot, few follys and hes dead. 1 tackler down. The Brutix is targeted next, but I can’t shoot that far so I try getting closer. The fleet warps out before i get in range. Half way through this however, rustles logs on and comes back to the battlefield in the middle of all the hostile battle cruisers - Bad timing.
This was the end of the engagements for that day, we roam for a bit, but nothing happened.
So i leave you with this:
With time to look at my rupture i noticed its rear end looks a bit like the back of a galley ship, so thought I’d add sails and a steering wheel thing. Looks more like a ship (with afterburners) now.

When you go too far...
War 1 – Day 9
I logged on today, expecting the same thing we got the past few days, us staring at them in their Drakes. While we did get this, what also happened destroyed any remaining respect I had for these corpies. I’m not judging all their members with this, but some of the stuff which has been said is disgraceful.
Before we get onto the juicy gossip, we have created another plan. To combat the ever increasing use of Drakes, and the new escalation of battleships used against us in our war we have begun “Operation Level Up”. The plan will take 2-3 months to properly complete, phase 1 can be completed within a day, but we have agreed to do it right first time, so we expect phase one to be implemented within 2 weeks, depending on how the current situation develops.
We have sourced contacts to make the required equipment for a good price, and also allow us to return to replace equipment when needed. Sounds sweet.
So, our engagement today was mostly stand offs. We were several hundred km from the gate, and we where aligned away from it, so we basically drifted while we watched them trying to figure out how to get to us. I was impressed once, because I thought they were thinking outside the box with one attempt, but I was quickly corrected, as they warped to the gate at 100km. Ah well.
This went on for a good while before one of them went to get a rifter. The rifter had a MWD installed so was travelling around 3km/s. I tell the fleet to stop the after burners so he could catch us quicker. He get within 30km and we lock, drones, guns and point him. He’s dead within 30 seconds. I was too quick with the fleet warp though as we left our drones behind. No big loss though, only T1 stuff. So, we are in a safe spot now, and who should come into local but their old CEO, our supposed contractor.
Their CEO announces himself on local and the channel erupts with smack talk from our war targets towards their old CEO. I face palm at some of the stuff, comments on this sexual preference, how he’s a coward. Actually ASKING him to war-dec them. Athlon himself states that he has had nothing to do with us war-decing them, that along with our own statement that he is not the contractor still does not seem convince them that he is in fact, not the contractor. Ah well.
Athlon seems to be cool headed in this engagement over local, taking all the smack talk with ease and still appearing civilised, even after comments on his kids. This is a step too far I feel, I can understand people like to smack talk, but there is no need to get personal. Perhaps these guys should remember their own advice of “it’s just a game”.
“Public fights is better than tv”, a bystander on local came out with this comment, very true. I left half way through it, and rustles decided to sit with pop corn and watch the disaster unfold all over local.
When I leave I hear that the conversation takes a downward spiral. Here are a few of my favorite, well, most pathetic, quotes. They are ranked of course:
It is disgraceful comments like these that can lead to a very long war-dec.
Of the entire smack talkers (from our war targets) who were participating, a special mention has to go to andy for keeping within the boundaries of smack talk, good job.
I have censored this a little bit from what the original had (none), to make it appear a bit more civilised. Of course this shameful log is saved, if anyone wants to see the whole unadulterated version send me a mail in game or leave a comment and I will send it to you.

Run! to fight another day
War 1 – Day 8
No much going on today to report on. We had the 1 week of war thing yesterday, but I wasn’t about to take it in, work and all the fun stuff. Today’s activities seemed to involve moving from A to B, then back to A. I was spoilt for choice today when i logged on, as to who i should chase down. I chose Bruce, since he is talking to me and rustles on public so we know he’s not afk.
With locators running we scout nearby systems, hoping to bump into people with a blinky red face and -shoot it. No luck with this however, and the locator puts Bruce 10 jumps out. Oh how we groan. We travel down only to find Bruce and Ferox in a station. They are either AFK or hiding in the station. We chose the AFK option as we don’t like to think that they are scared of 2 cruisers, but we could be wrong.
We camp the station regardless while we wait for reply from the locator. We get the results and we groan even louder this time. 15 jumps. We set course and engage warp. 5 jumps out Mental logs off, its not a good day. We continue to the last know anyway, since we may find someone there.
Target system is empty! We float in space while we track down Andy. 15 jumps it seems. Blegh travelling should be quicker. Should maybe invest in jump clones.
We arrive at the system Andy is at, he’s still here. “Great! Check belts!” Belts are clear. We try stations, well, station, and there he is. I know he flies a drake, and it should outlast a cruiser easily, but I’m not sure about 2 cruisers, whether or not we could take it, i assume he’s got the same opinion.
Mental logs back in and we float outside Andy’s station. 10-20minutes pass and i run a locator on mental. Turns out he’s on his way down here. We move to intercept, hoping to get him alone before he regroups with his mates. We are too slow though, he meets Ferox.
We wait at a gate, see if they show up. He wants to PvP us at planet 1. “No thanks” I thought, we might win, likely lose though, and there are 3 hostiles in system, i don’t trust him to keep it fair. Its war, why should he?
Few minutes pass and a raven and a drake exit warp on top of us. We jump. On the other side the drake follows. It’s doing 600m/s and climbing, must be using a micro warp drive, wonder how long it would take to cap out. I burn away from it making him run it longer to see if it caps out easily. He reaches 11km and still closing, so i warp before I’m scrammed. He leaves system knowing he can’t expect to catch us in a battle cruiser. Knowing full well we can’t expect to defeat a raven and a drake, potentially 2 drakes, we decide to head back home and log out for the night.

War 1 – Day 6
Today I decided to try solo, as rustles was busy watching a movie and everyone else was off doing their thing. Rustles and I have been training the past few days to escalate our efforts by fitting cruisers, and I am eager to try them out.
The target corp. has a few online so I am spoilt for choice. I have a locator running on Mental to see where he is while I check the usual spots. Still no sign of him on local. or any of his corp. when I receive the mail from the locator. I set course and blindly warp towards it.
Half way there and I stumble upon Andy in a caracal. I was lucky to spot this as I was warping to a gate at 0 to jump, just arrived at the gate when he was warping away from it. I immediately turn the ship around and pursue; I figured my chances of beating a caracal are much better than a potential drake in my rupture.
I chose to warp to the kamio gate, as that is where he looked to be going. I arrive at the gate, no andy on the overview. “Shit!” I thought assuming he’s already jumped out. About to hit the jump button I notice he’s still in local. I was sure he was warping to this gate, so I brought up the D-Scan to see if he’s nearby, maybe he’s still in warp or something.
D-Scan shows ‘Andy Bobo’s Caracal’, success! I adjust the angles of the scan until I narrow it to a planet. The planet is clear when I arrive, so I look around with the scans towards the customs office and the belts. I got another hit on the belt. Warp drive engaged!
My engines where slowing down and I emerged into the asteroid belt. Andy was 15km away. I lock, set course and put the after burner on, when in range I scram and web the cruiser and begin firing my weapons. Drones are scrambled and engaging him, with the constant fire of dual 180 Auto cannons pounding on his shields. He is shooting back but his shields are collapsing quite quickly now. He enters armour and I know this is near the end, my shields dropping below 50%. His ships structure is falling apart and the quick skirmish is brought to a close with a caracal exploding. Good fight Andy. I’m not in love with my new ship.
Rustles appears and I tell him what’s been going on. I notice that our target corp. is getting a bit restless with new guys logging on and hostiles appearing on local. Local for more ships and get 2 more, Tileu and Jon appear.
With hostiles rallying in system we manage to get another name to add to our war targets list. We set out to probe the situation. We find on of them docked at one of the stations, we stay at the undock point. Not too sure yet if that’s the best thing to do. A few minutes pass and Mental appears in local.
Good timing from all the hostiles as they managed to leave warp and undock upon us at near the same time. We shoot the drake for a bit, and set drones after the Dramiel that mental was flying. I’m taking a lot of damage, a lot more than I expected. Good missiles on that drake. Damage slows a bit on armour as I was hoping. Armour still dropping quite quickly. Our drones aren’t affecting the Dramiel much, and our guns won’t get through this drake any time soon. I make the call to fall back, as my armour is nearly dropping into armour. We all get out alive, with the exception of a few T2 drones.
We move to huttaken, staying at a safe spot for a time while we think how to beat the odds. A plan is formed. We warp to the halaima gate at 100km. 2 in system, rest likely on other side of gate waiting to be called. We move away from warp in point. A Dramiel appears and burns towards us at 1600m/s, and a brutix and drake appear, the other 2 contacts in system exit warp at the gate. My fleet begins to panic a bit, and we warp away when Dramiel is 60km away from us.
The fleet at the gate disperse looking for us. We use this to warp to halaima again. We warp to safe, and then back to gate at 100km. The hostiles start to pour through the gate now. The Dramiel again appears to moving into to tackle. The battle cruisers are holding at 100km. The Dramiel is orbiting us at 40km, and i see what its trying to do! I give the order to warp, seconds before we warp the battle cruisers enter warp 150km to the Dramiel. The plan needs adjusting.
We hide in safe spot for a few minutes while we iron out the creases on our master plan. Plan is adjusted, warping to Sankkasen. Warpjumper is on the sank gate, “great” I though, he’s going to tell the fleet where we are, less time waiting for them. We jump into sank. Warp drive engaged to a nearby station, then return to the gate.
In this position again... we wait. Up to 5 minutes pass and they start coming in system. Dramiel is again the first person to separate itself from the group. Burning towards us at 1600m/s we adjust course. The Dramiel is maintaining a 40km orbit, the hostile fleet holding position.
I tell my fleet to keep tight. The Dramiel is now dropping its orbit, 20km. Drones are dispatched to it. Hostile drones intercept our drones, they are locked and destroyed. Dramiel is within 15km, disrupted and all guns fire!
Parts of the hostile fleet start burning towards us; we remain focused on the Dramiel. It seems like seconds pass when a Tristan and rifter get in scram range. Jon keeps the Dramiel tackled me and rustles deal with the frigates, they drop quickly. The battle cruisers are still a good distance off, so we continue with the Dramiel.
Heavy missiles start hitting me, shields drop within a few volleys. The Dramiel is well in armour, soon to be structure. My structure alarms start sounding when the Dramiel pops. I align to warp out. My speed is climbing slowly, and i realise my afterburner is still running, i turn it off, with 10 seconds left on the cycle. When the afterburner times out i will instawarp, 5 seconds left, 4, 3... My structure gives out and escape pods are deployed. I warp away and put the withdrawal up to rustles discretion.
I move to get a new ship. 2 jumps out. I hear on comms that my fleet withdrew shortly after me. A rupture and frigate aren’t great vs. 3 battle cruisers apparently.
Even though we didn’t kill all their ships we are definitely high on the adrenaline high! We entered the battle knowing we were outnumbered, 2:1. They had us outmatched, 3 tacklers and 3 battle cruisers, compared to our 1 tackler and 2 cruisers. They lost all tacklers, one of which is a Dramiel, and we lost 1 rupture, we definitely consider that our greatest victory.
They regroup at safe spots while i go get another ship, Jita, ugh. We take in the moment, like the first cigarette of the day. Talk about if we could do better. There really wasn’t much more we could expect to do, so we cheer! “Yarrs!!” We go afk, dinners, barbeques, all the fun stuff.
We return a few hours later, strangely all at the same time. We try to regroup but we are a bit disorganised. I undock from jita in ym new rupture and notice Ericcm on the undock, I warp away before he can lock and move to sank where my fleet is.
I hear on comms that jon has attacked a Brutix; I face palm. Rustles and Tileu go to help him. I and Ericcm appear at the gate out of Jita at the same time. He’s either hunting me, or going to help the Brutix.
Next system i warp to a station on route to the next gate to make him think I’m going on to the next system. While i speed was climbing to warp speed he locks me and tries closing. I hit the minimum warp speed and engage with him at 14km from me. I dock up and Ericcm leaves system, he must be going to help the Brutix.
I let my fleet know, but it seems favourable at the moment anyway, the ship is nearly dead. I pick up drones and insure the ship, since I forgot to do that leaving Jita. I resume my course to sank knowing that Ericcm in this Ishkur are on route.
The Brutix is dead with me 3 jumps out. When i arrive we spread out over the system trying to catch any others who enter. The Brutix Pilot jump clones to another region. Ericcm appears, we move into Sankkasen and safe spot while we talk to him. He’s scanning us down and we decide to move back to halaima. For a change of pace i tell my fleet to keep around the gate at equal spacing so we have a chance of pointing him were ever he may come though.
The gate activates and a Helios appears. It quickly cloaks and heads back to the gate. I have to tell Jon not to go after it; we have no chance of catching that ship. When Ericcm returns he is in his Ishkur. Nasty little ship, but I didn’t think it was good enough to take on 4 cruisers. We lock it up and we engage. Its tank can’t stand to the punishment we’re giving it. Tileu was his main target, her armour was taking a bit of a beating when his ship finally fell apart. I tell Tileu to pick up those T2 drones for herself while we sell the rest.
Nice drop from that ship, dead space module in the wreckage, Coreli C-Type Small Armor Repairer. Plus 12 million when it sells :)
We remain at the gate, but Ericcm needs to log off for a little while. Shortly after Ferox logs in, locators running while we set a course to his normal hiding place. No sign yet when locator returns with a system. We burn there, we cross paths with Ferox on route, he was still moving when we got the reply! We lose Ferox in the warp, not able to find him.
Mental logs back in, we run a locator on him instead. We set course and move there. 3 jumps out Ericcm logs back in. we stop in our tracks as consider what is best. We move to intercept Ericcm, and wait at safe spots before engaging while the rest of the fleet arrives.
It is at this point that i am reminded how late it is, and need to sign off for the night. I say my farewells and wish my fleet mates good luck and hit emergency warp. That is me for today.
Tokish.

Hunter-Hunted
War 1 – Day 5
I log on today to immediately find a new member in the war targets public channel. My eye brow is raised as I attempt to find out as much as I can about this new guy. Well over 1 year old, so I’m guessing he’s trained a lot of skills to 4s if not 5s. The kill board on battle clinic for this guy showed 11 losses and 3 kills. Under inspection of these kills it has mostly been in large groups. Not too sure how to take this, we aren’t expecting great things from this guy off the bat, but he could throw a spanner in the works if hes a good team player.
I return to eve, and notice the new guy is asking me to fight, and is in local. I logged out docked as i was picking up skills the night before. I fully expect the station to be camped by him in a battleship or something. I undock and to my surprise I don’t see anything. I warp away to Halaima to get some distance, and do a further jump into huttaken. A safe spot is made and I go afk there for a few minutes.
When i return the CEO and the new war target are in system. Rustles has come online too so we can tag team this we hope. D-Scan showed a daredevil and a Ishkur. The daredevil we didn’t worry about, but the Ishkur rip’s through ships with its drones. We don’t fancy our chances vs that in a rifter and thrasher.
We notice the iskhur is gone off scans and it left local. My first thoughts where, it’s baiting the daredevil 1 jump away, and will jump back in when he calls for help. We wait to see what happens. A few minutes pass as the iskhur comes back into system. No Iskhur on scans though, but there is an imicus instead, it’s a Gallente scan ship. A few minutes pass and the Iskhur appears on our safe spot. Being aligned in the safe spot we quickly move away. “how do you like those apples” we read on their corps public channel, well done I thought, you can scan, but we continue to ignore that chat.
We move to halaima, and get another safe spot. We know this system will be harder to locate us because of the large population here. While we have a few minutes peace we watch local and discuss what we can do. A good few minutes pass and they finally join local, probably just noticed we aren’t in huttaken anymore.
They join local, Iskhur/Daredevil on scans. We doubt they have dropped any high slots for a expanded probe launcher so just wait until one of them disappear to go get the Imicus. Few minutes pass and the Iskhur pilot goes to get it. We warp to the huttaken gate at 0 and wait for him to return. We hoped to catch the daredevil by itself at the gate, but it must be in a safe spot. The Imicus jumps through, and it immediately turns to warp off. Target was locked but not in scram range, it gets away. I was tempted to say something about apples in their public corp. channel but I resisted.
We jump through to huttaken again, expecting the Iskhur to return with full fury. Safe spot again and wait. We are basically trying to out manoeuvre them to a favourable situation, as we don’t like our chances vs. a daredevil and Iskhur. The previous method is used another 1 or 2 times with no success and we log off for dinner. I’m glad to see them starting to give chase to us.
I return from dinner and log on. Rustles isn’t ready to start so I go to Jita, get a few things. I read the forums and do general browsing while I wait for rustles to return. Rustles is back and i return to eve. The CEO has tracked me down to Jita. I get rustles to come check out the front of the station. It seems a drake is waiting there with the blinky red status. Again with the drakes, we undock and warp away, out manoeuvring the drake easily.
We roam around caldari space while we wait for the location on a few of their other members. We set course when the results are back. Dawood logs on and joins us in his wolf. Pretty ship. 1 jump from Ferox Heth and he logs off. We turn back to citadel since we know that is where the new guy is coming from. Half way there we cross paths with him. Seems hes going after us.
We check belts, planets, stations and so on, we cant find him, and nothing particularly obvious on D-Scan. We reckon he’s in safe spot or cloaked. We move on as we aren’t going to waste too much time hoping he will come out of hiding. We return to citadel and log off for the night.

We are now a 'threat'.
War 1 – Day 4
Its been a late start for biel-tan today. Work kept us from doing anything till near 9pm. 7 War Targets online at the moment. Only 2 at most seem to be of the fighting type. Although that drone boating orca pilot is online. So, we’ve chosen our first target. Locators running on him now, waiting results.
Results showed him in jita. Guess he’s buying something. Or passing through, hopefully we get lucky and find him in a hauler coming back from jita. With no idea where he will be going we decide to locate a few more of their corp - after yesterdays Intel gathering we’ve now got 20/29 members identified, but still we’re not spoiled for choice with targets.
We found one of their main bases. Group of systems near jita. When we entered the system I saw one of their main members in a pod. Of course I lock and close to combat range! 15km out and he noticed he’s being locked and warped off, rage. I could feel the hornets’ nest getting unsettled and moved to 1 system away. Spotted one of their guys in a brutix while leaving, the next system gave us the name of a new guy in their corp., guys less than a day old, probably an alt.
We scout the belts and on the second belt we find the new guy in a catalyst – mining. We kill him quickly and he warps off before we can scram the pod. Rustles persues and I warp to a safe. He nearly catches the pod outside a station but it docks up. I tell him to hang around there, see if he undocks. Sure enough he undocks. The velator is scrammed and webbed, and quickly destroyed. Rusty also gets to scram the pod.
We start a private convo with the pilot since he can’t go anywhere, and no hostiles are coming to help, even though they are only 1 system away with at least 2 battle cruisers and god knows how many cruisers at their disposal! But his actions striked us as abit odd.
From the conversation we had it turns out that our war target has been recruiting people WITHOUT telling them that there is an active war in progress. We feel bad, give him some advice to try a corp without a war, and chew the head of their CEO for not telling them about the war in the first place. We also give the dude some money to make up for the loss and welcome him to eve. So rustles drops the scram and tells him to go on his way, and complain to their CEO until he is blue in the face.
Moved to their main area now, 2 of their main pilots seemed to be moving to help the new guy, little too late, that was 10-15 minutes ago now, at least. They follow us back into their main system and we warp to safe spots. Local starts getting smack talk from their CEO about how we are pussies, and where are we hiding. Not much of a safe spot if I tell him where I am.
We let this go on for an hour while rustles is talking to a friend who’s looking for something to do. Sick of mining I suppose. We accept him in the corp and fill him in on what’s been happening. Meanwhile the hostile CEO is trying to bait us to fight him in his drake, us with a frigate and destroyer. He’s either assuming we are gullible enough to be goaded like this, or is blind with rage and wants to vent all over us.
Our new member seems confident he can take a drake so we said why not. We plan a trap by baiting the hostile CEO in planet 1 until our new guy can fit his ship. This plan nearly worked brilliant until he got bored and left. We sauntered after him and we find out he’s running into the open arms of our new ally. 1 jump away and we hear on teamspeak that the drake is scrammed and webbed, with its shields melting. We rush to ‘help’!
We arrive with the drakes shields on the verge of collapsing me and rustles close and add a bit more damage to his ships. Less than a minute later we kill the drake! We say gf in local, but he may have emo rage quit before seeing that.
I was still concerned that some of the new members in their corp don’t actually know they are at war yet. Me and rustles set out to let some of the new players in their corp know that they are indeed, at war. It baffles me as to how this fact is overlooked when these guys are recruiting, surely that is the something you should bring up to new guys interested in your corp.
We’ve moved target to another of their drake pilots. Amarr space, they sure get about. We arrive and hold 1 jump from destination. Rustles in the fastest ship goes in first and trys to get the drake to follow in chase.
We talk to him in his public channel, trying to get a response. He’s talking to us, missioning. About to go to bed though, rustles awaits at the mission base. Few minutes pass and the target arrives. Scrammed and webbed!
The typhoon and I jump into system, and warp to rustles to help with the kill. Good tank on this one in comparison to the other. In the end however he was dead. Gf in their chat, we get the same back. Seems ok about the loss, so good for him, don’t like seeing people vent about losses.
We head back to safe spots to log. On the way their diplomat logs on, not sure if I mentioned him before, basically he was asking us how we could end the war early and other stuff I wont get into the details on this though. Basically we were going to check if we could take a ransom for the war, and answer is yes so I contacted him to let him know.
The ambassador, who we have pegged for the alt of the drake we just killed, refuses the offer and and lets the war continue. We came to this conclusion as he seems like a person who you can have a actual conversation with, unlike most we’ve talked too.
So we leave this as the most successful day of the war to date.

The story so far... (Chapter 3)
Day 3 of our first war
today i was hoping to get a few more of our members online. Faithful rustles logs on and so goes Jon! Yeah! I say!
So this is early evening this happened and rustles disappears for dinner, lunch, whatever you call it. While I wait I tell Jon about whats been happening, and also get a convo from our war targets abassador.
Me and the ambassador talk for about 40 minutes about the war, what we expect from it and how it can end early when I need to go for my dinner. When I return me and the ambassador talk abit more and finish our conversation.
I shout on team speak to see if everyone is back and ready for some war, and i get no answer. I bring up the client and I’m the only person there! They both logged off! Blegh, I’m not going to take on a corp. where the average engagement size has been 3 people by myself! Can only fly destroyers so far!
I’m currently waiting for them to come online, so if they don’t this will be the end of today’s blog. Otherwise will be adding to this later!
This will be the last post for my "the story so far..." series as you are now up to date.
Tokish.
Addition:
Spent a few hours finding their mission areas, found 2 of them, 1 guy still eludes me. Even got a chase from a drake! Short lived though. The idiot went the wrong way or something. And the other guy was afk in a station, or hiding in a station. I auto piloted home hoping one would stumble upon me and fire, no such luck however.
I don’t know... from conversations these guys are very cocky but I don’t think we’ve once been hunted down; we’re always doing the chasing unless we let them know where we are, and even then its 3-5 ships for the 2 of us. I like to think that says something about their real opinions on us.
Rustles is now online with team speak, his internet dropped, ISP said give it a few hours, we are working on it. So went to see the A-Team movie. Said its defiantly worth watching.

The story so far... (Chapter 2)
Day 2 of our first war.
One of the problems i have with my corpies is that we cant get online together all the time. Seems we are either working or in bed, well, most of us. Me and rustles, my wingman, set out to play with the war targets for abit for todays activities. I downgraded to rifter today as i had not had time to resupply my thrashers yet, not too bad, something different.
We arrive at their HQ again, only one guy here. Considering broadening my search for other corps to see where the rest are hiding. We spend 30 minutes – 1 hour flying about, ratting, can flipping, and stuff. The rustles screams over team speak “WARP TO ME!” So I engage warp, what I arrived to put me in near shock.
When I exited warp I saw rustles had a war targets Orca webbed and scrambled. We wouldn’t be able to beat its shields any time soon so we wait for a defence fleet to arrive while its scrammed. While we wait we had to swot a few T1 drones the orca was deploying now and again. A few minutes pass and we seem to have got through most of the orcas drones and the lucky stabber from day 1’s fun and games emerged. We dock it up, and rustles scrams it while I keep the Orca scrammed.
The fight isn’t looking looking too bad and another orca drops out of warp and scrambles its drones. Also it turns out the other orca wasn’t out of drones just yet. We now had to deal with 1 stabber and 10 drones, yay .
To stop getting webbed and scrammed easily we withdraw to about 50km from the orcas, trying to lore the stabber to us. We were hoping this would stop the drones from getting to us as easily, or at least stop them being reinforced so easily from the orcas. The stabber gets half way to us and turns back. Again i am stunned by their next actions.
The stabber pilot swops out his combat ship for a retriever, and deploys drones. The drone situation around me and rustles is now under control, the drones aren’t near us long enough to do any significant damage. We burn our afterburners towards the retriever, instructing rustles to scram one of the orcas when we are in range. At about 15km the orcas deploy more drones, and the stabber pilot swops to a stabber again. Regardless of what ship he chose they are now scrammed and webbed and 2 rifters eating at hits shields. The drones are cause some hurt so I ask for assistance from rustles.
50% armour and the daredevil we spotted yesterday warps in, with full structure and armour, guess he learned to make sure his ship is good condition. With my armor dropping i align away from the hostiles and try to burn away to warp. To my disappointment i noticed the daredevil closing fast, knowing full well its got at least a scrambler fitted. I pass 10k from the stabber but the daredevil got me scrammed, with it and drones around me i lose my rifter.
Rustles engaged the daredevil, trying to secure a getaway, if he cant beat that ship then he was gonna get scrammed the same way. Reports from rustles puts the daredevil at 30% armor at this point. Overall we lost 2 ships. I’m still a bit unsettled by how easily they deployed orcas as drone boats.
From what i remember that was the end of our day 2. I could well have forgotten other things we did, but from the time of writing this what we did

The story so far... (Chapter 1)
Day 1 of war.
Turns out these guys were expecting us at our public HQ. Had to explain its more a decoy than our main base, thanks for falling for it. Our own intel showed that their HQ is actually where they work from, based on activity and descriptions. So we waited there. Sure enough they start showing up.
First guy to arrive comes in an arbitrator. My corp. mate was at gate in rifter, and I was few thousand km of the gate in my thrasher. Rifter engages and I warp in. I arrive and a Daredevil and Stabber are also on scans now laying into my corpie. Afterburner on full and I charge!
Locked arbitrator first to focus fire then locked the rest. I was surprised to see the daredevil with no armour and some structure damage - Just found my secondary target. Arbitrator pops and so does my corpie. He warps off and I scram and web the daredevil. Looking good, their shields are melting and the stabber isn’t doing much, not through my shields yet. Working through his structure and I notice he’s burning away from me. “NOOOOOOooooo!!” I cry over team speak as they warp away with less than 10% structure.
I turn to vent my rage on the stabber pilot, I just enter armour. The gap is closed quickly and the stabber is now scramed and webbed, with auto cannons working their way through shields. I hit 50% armour when his shields drop. Guns still cycling I break his armour with 15% armour left on my ship. We’re both in structure now when i drake appears. It’s red and now starting to blink at me. I sigh with disappointment when I lost my thrasher with little structure remaining on the stabber.
My corp mate and I discussed what happened on team speak and agreed the damaged target should have been primary at the start. Learned alot about our ships and theirs though, so not a complete waste. With the main engagement of the war over we join their public channel, which isn’t used too much by them, so we invite them, to their own public channel... normal customaries where paid, gf and all, because it was quite fun.
We go back to our base and fit another ship and head back to pew pew some more. We saw cries of them on their corp. channel for “No more fights?”, “I’m bored” and the like. I ignored that last one, not here to entertain them, its for my fun not theirs.
We had a few more fights that night, we tried taking out a drake, didn’t work too well. I was hoping it was the drake we saw on the battle clinic. They either improved it or drakes are naturally tougher than I expected. Little hit and run tactics trough the night, mostly harassing them outside their home base at 100km. Punisher undocked though and was MWDing towards me, i let it to 15km and warped off. Wasn’t going to be stuck by their scram, gave them enough ships for today.
So concluded Day one of our first War.

So concluded Day one of our first War.
The story so far... (prelude)
I have founded a corporation with a few friends, Biel-Tan. There are a few of us, but with different work patterns and time zones we don’t get a lot of time online together.
Our activities so far have been a few low sec roams. On my first roams here i found a ibis, afk at a gate. “brilliant!” I thought. I closed the gap and engaged! The ibis died, and i was quickly introduced to the gate guns in lowsec, so not a great victory there.
In later weeks we roam ice belts and ore belts, basically can flipping. We got a brilliant haul from one mining op in an ice belt. Bigger haul so far has been a group of 4-6 retrievers mining into a can, with 1 mammoth hauling. We thought to ourselves how we could steal that. What we ended up doing is having me train level 3 industrial. With level 1 trained i got the low level hauler and started ferrying the ice from our can (with their ice inside) to a station. We actually managed to do this 4 times, with 4 full cans, before they realised. Yay 15m .
Recently we were contacted by some guy whose corp. we were harassing in a belt. Turns out he wants to do wardec a corp., war fees paid in advance and we get a bounty on all we kill too. Looked through the kill board on this corp. and thought “why not?” Got the green light from the other corpies and so we went to harass the WTs, get a member count and so on.
War vote is in progress, and we’re scouting their members, found a few of them, not all though. The guys we found were mining, so we can flipped them, and a few more guys in system to boot! We get called out by one of them for a 1v1. One of my corpies (rustles) accepts and to a frigate fight. W00t. The guy is only a few months old, so we were expecting a T1 frigate. A Dramiel shows up. Rustles lols and said why not, since the ore we just stole paid for his ship a few times. To our surprise a t1 rifter with t1 mods managed to nearly take it out of shields before popping. If only I had rigs rustles says.
About 20 minutes later me and other corpie (jon) do the same again, and he gets called out. he accepts and the aggressor says he will use the parts from rustles ship. didnt exactly believe him, but its no odds really. Well jon won the fight. was abit surprised by the killmail. for a recycled ship it cost x10 more than the original. infact under closer inspection very little was reused. Jon is happy, he just killed a 10m isk rifter with a 1m isk rifter. yay win *smile*
So Intel done, bad kill board history, granted ours isn’t exceptional either. 15 of their then 24 members identified, we put the rest down to afk members and alts. And their main base identified. Although we did follow one guy on autopilot to ghesis, possibly another base, note to self.

Introduction
My first post. I will start with a little introduction on who I am, and what I do.
I am a new character in eve, with which I am hoping to start mild piracy and small merc jobs.
Overall I’m looking for experience in PvP and doing general harassment in high sec. One of my corpies has said “no, we are not pirates, we are thieves”. I’m not going to label us, rather see what we turn into instead.
The kind of things I will be recording would be anything of note I get during my exploits in my day to day stuff in eve, and maybe naming and shaming anyone I see doing something I think is stupid.
If you're following this blog, then I hope you enjoy the reading, if not, well, it’s going to be more an archive than anything else.
